The Alaska Science Consortium (ASC) is a coalition of teachers and school districts working together to improve the teaching of science using State and National Standards and the ASC Learning Cycle Model. The Consortium involves scientists and teachers in the training of their colleagues in inquiry science, process, skills, and content knowledge as it relates to the local environment, child development theory, and developmentally appropriate practice. The core of the ASC is a training for two weeks at a Summer Institute with a distance delivery course offered in the fall that is Internet and audio conference based.

The Alaska Science Consortium is very proud to present "Integrating Art and Science" Summer Science Workshop. This workshop will be taught by Diane McBee, master teacher, on July 23-26, 2013. This course is open to all Fellows for $50, and to teachers in non member districts for $200. Two additional credits can be earned for $90. The course will be taught at the BP Energy Center in Anchorage, AK. Applications are due April 15th. Click for more information and an application.
